Initial Brainstorming Session 13-14th February 2009
This is the first meeting to cover objectives, clarify intent and content as well as identify source of input.
Items to be covered:
Friday 13th 1700-2000 hrs: setting the scene
1) What are the ojectives?
2) What are the intentions of a FOSSIMILAJAU blog?
3) What contents to be included? Public only.
4) What are our sources for data?
Saturday 0700-0900 hrs : identify input types required and capacity for each
1) Images
2) Articles
3) Reports
4) Write-up on events, activities, personalities etc
End of session would have identified several action items and way ahead.

FOSSIMILAJAU Schedule
Branches on the beach after rain.
Fossimilajau will be working to get up to speed with disseminating all that is relevant to Similajau National Park, to raise awareness, appreciation, and document.
The next few months will see basic infrastructure set up in place and training to make that possible. The following are scheduled sessions at Similajau NP.
Initial Session:
Fri 13.02 1800 Present concept and brainstorm.
Sat14.02 0700 Plan activity for Fossimilajau
- classify information: confidential vs. public
- content: articles, activities write-up, images
[interim: Gather information, write-up]
1st Working Session:
Tue 17.03 0800 Photography Basics, Acquire Images
Wed18.03 0800 Image Processing, Upload articles, images, make links
[interim: Acquire images, process images]
2nd Working Session:
Fri 03.04 1800 Uploading Pictures and Words
Sat04.04 0800 Mop-up
[interim: Upload]
Final Working Session:
Fri 15.05 1800 Mop-up, fix-up
Sat16.05 0800 Plan follow-up activity if required. Monitoring real-time online.

Friends of Similajau Blogspot
"Situated in Bintulu Division (about 30km from Bintulu Town) the national park provides recreational ground for the people within the central region of Sarawak. It has one of the most beautiful coastal areas in Malaysia with miles of unspoiled white and golden sand and rocky beaches facing the South China Sea.
First gazetted on 1 December 1976 and published to public on 20 April 1978 with and areas of 7,064 hectares of virgin forest, starting from Sungai Likau in the south and as far as 30km stretch to Sungai Similajau to the north. Another 1,932 hectares of areas was extended to the park on 17 February 2000 this made the total areas to 8,996 hectares. Even though it?s a small area of strip land running from North-South direction, approximately 30km, but it is rich in flora and fauna that provided nature lovers with rich experience and activities."
